Burn's Supper

Saturday January 25th saw the Three Villages Hall full to capacity to celebrate Burn's Night in style!

Over 100 guests enjoyed a traditional dinner of haggis, accompanied by some traditional and more contemporary (!) poetry. Dinner was served by members of Arrochar Youth, and entertainment for the evening was provided by an amazing array of local talent, including a Burn's song from Janet Stanton accompanied by Fiona Jackson, traditional fiddle music from Arrochar Young Fiddlers, piping from Hermitage Academy and Arrochar Primary pupils, songs and poems from p6/7 pupils from Arrochar Primary, and highland dancing from Ellie Fletcher from Hermitage Academy.

After the formal part of the evening was finished, guests were invited to stay and enjoy music from Arrochar's newest ceilidh band (so new I don't think they have a name yet!).

Huge thanks to all who made the evening such a great success (far too many to name individually), either by organising, cooking, serving, speaking, entertaining, and/or coming along and joining us!
