Heritage Awards

The Community Development Trust's Hidden Heritage Project and the local Arrochar, Tarbet and Ardlui Heritage group have both scooped awards for their work!

The Hidden Heritage Project was awarded a Highly Commended in the prestigious national Marsh Award for Community Archaeology, which recognises not only community participation in heritage and archaeology, but also promotes "innovation and quality in the dissemination of the results of research and/or fieldwork through publication, communication and archiving."

Arrochar, Tarbet and Ardlui Heritage Group received the Heritage Project of the Year Award at the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs area Community Partnership Gathering, for it's project 'Arrochar, Tarbet and Ardlui Remembers', to commemorate the First World War.

The villages continue their excellent record with the Community Partnership, following on from the Youth Group's 'Team of the Year' award last year for their Arrofrica project.
