Budapest Cafe Orchestra

The intriguingly named Budapest Cafe Orchestra (from Harringay...) delivered a evening's entertainment that exceeded all expectations. Safe to say that no member of the audience could resist clapping and foot-stamping to accompany the evocative East European music played by these four incredibly accomplished musicians. Their musicianship was matched by their friendly and interactive stage presence that left the audience demanding more and asking when we could get them to come back again! The quartet played traditional Balkan melodies ranging from high-speed Hungarian czardas to bitter-sweet balllads, interspersed with nuggets such as 'Rachmaninov's squeezebox concerto' !

You'll be welcome back in Arrochar anytime guys!

Huge thanks to Fiona for organising and to Melanie for providing the band with a 4-star meal (especially the key-lime pie...)
