Community Development Course

The second University of Glasgow Activate course run by Community Links Scotland has started in Garelochhead.

This introductory community development course is aimed at people of all ages who are active in their communities and would like to improve their skills and use the experience to work on projects that will benefit the whole community.

The 50-hour Activate course offers places to local youth-work organisations, which this year include the Arrochar YOUTH Project, as well as Route 81 from Garelochhead and Ten2Ten West Dunbartonshire.

On completion of the course, participants will be invited for an interview for the University of Glasgow’s Community Learning and Development degree course and many will access further training or employment.
