Possible Visitor Attraction

The Trust recently commissioned a feasibility study to consider the options for and likely viability of developing a visitor attraction in the area.

This study has now been completed, and the results were presented by Iain Dick at an open meeting last night (November 28th). The consultants Gareth Hoskins Architects, in conjunction with Jura Consultants broadly concluded that a development on the site of the current Pit Stop/Three Villages Cafe would have the potential to attract enough business to be viable, with some surplus profits to feed back to support future community projects.

The proposed development would include improved cafe facilities, as well as spaces for information on local natural and cultural heritage, walks and other activities in the area, and potentially for visiting exhibitions.
