The Trust is pursuing a number of new initiatives, which respond to its aims/objectives and the Community Action Plan, published in 2003.
As a community development agency, the Trust welcomes approaches from individuals and community groups with new project ideas and aims to offer as much support as possible to enable these ideas to be realised. Community Visitor and Heritage Attraction
Arrochar and Tarbet Community Development Trust is considering the possibility of developing a Community Enterprise Visitor and Heritage Centre. It was awarded £10,000 from the Big Lottery's 'Investing in Ideas' fund and £5,000 from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park to fund a Feasibility Study to consider the practicalities of such a development. Pontoon Development
The development of a pontoon is a long-term ambition of the Trust and the Community Council, offering a marine gateway to Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. It is hoped that appropriate funding opportunities can be identified for this project in the not too distant future. The Community Council is currently pursuing this project.
